I believe it’s Nkosi Sikelel’iAfrica, the South African national anthem. It translates to “Lord Bless Africa.” She changes the last word to America so essentialy she is saying “God Bless America”. You can hear about it on her latest vblog, it’s really cool how the whole thing came together.

It’s really cool to be able to see how Imogen can build songs live, new or old. While it is amazing, it makes you appreciate how much effort goes into creating a finished studio version. Keep up the good work!

the reason it seems so sad is because it’s in “A” flat. a strange key.

January 2nd, 2010 on 6:23 am
Hard to believe that seemingly happy-go-lucky girl in her vBlogs could produce this. But her’s is no small talent. If the song dosn’t make you cry,her dedication will.I really liked this.
